The Fitzgerald is a luxury apartment building in LoDo Denver. The commission is a 26′ wall in the fitness room. The digital painting was constructed from two photographs of the Hamilton Building, the Libeskind-design addition to the Denver Art museum. The composition features a portion of the Oldenburg/ van Brugge sculpture, Big Sweep, on the right. In the background are the titanium panels of the Hamilton Building’s overhanging wall. The left side of the composition features a portion of Joel Shapiro’s sculpture on the lawn of the Clyfford Still Museum, titled For Jennifer (Jennifer Moulton, director of planning and development for the City and County of Denver from 1992 – 2003. She died in 2004,) In the background is the Hamilton Building’s bridge to the older Ponti-designed portion of the museum. The two portions of the wall are aligned along a diagonal common to both sculptures.
